Jeremy Ezell began his musical journey as a child following the footsteps of his Father. Elizabeth Cline writes, "Ezell's vocals soar, sometimes out of reach, and titillate- they're an outburst of loyalty to his own father's past as a successful opera singer before he was a small-town preacher." Jeremy's father, a studied musician and accomplished vocalist, recorded a small independent Gospel album in the early 80's and did some touring to promote the release. Jeremy's studio experience came at an early age, when he would spend time at the studio during his fathers recording sessions. "I have very fond memories of singing with my dad," says Jeremy, "He is still a minister and still sings beautifully."
High School would bring Jeremy Ezell into the world of Rock music. Jeremy Explored the world of Grunge and Punk to find his ear begin to settle in the pop/rock world. Jeremy recalls, "My Junior year of high school my band director gave me a cassette of Phil Collin's 'Hello I must be Going' and my ear was never the same."
Jeremy gained valuable experience as the key member in several bands throughout his high school and college careers. Ezell has performed all over the East Coast for a decade; the past seven years of which he spent at the helm of his Atlanta-based pop-rock band Wilson Empire. Since its founding, Wilson Empire toured with much success and shared stages with artists such as Moses Mayfield, Switchfoot, and Blues Traveler.
In December 2007 Jeremy dissolved Wilson Empire to pursue his passion for spiritual, honest, straightforward, pop/rock. He has released Live at Eddies Attic, available at discrevolt.com/jeremyezell and is currently working on plans for a full-length album currently slated for release in the fall of 2008.
